Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced a partnership with General Motors Co on self-driving vehicle technology during a keynote at the Nvidia GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Jose, Calif., Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

 Nvidia founder Jensen Huang highlighted the company’s advancements in AI at GTC 2025 conference earlier today, known as “AI Woodstock.” He revealed details about Nvidia’s next-generation graphics architectures, Blackwell Ultra and Vera Rubin, which are set to launch in the second half of 2025 and late 2026 respectively.

Huang also highlighted the extraordinary progress made by AI in the past decade, which has evolved from perception and computer vision to generative AI and now agentic AI. He predicted that Nvidia’s data center infrastructure revenue will hit $1 trillion by 2028.

He also announced that General Motors will integrate Nvidia technology into its self-driving car fleet. Huang also unveiled the company’s Halos system, an AI solution focused on automotive safety, stating that they are the first company in the world to have every line of code safety assessed.

 The partnership will focus on robotics, in-vehicle hardware for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and in-cabin safety features.

“The time for autonomous vehicles has arrived,” Huang said.
